Love when its abused
Trust broken, leaving
You feeling all used inside!
Energy sapped, precious emotions spent


Hate suddenly brims up
Unseen, once dormant
Now red, ugly, heated
Triggered, volcanic, lethal


Seeing happy couples around
Hand in hand enjoying
Laughing, touching, caring
And one looks back
At the wondrous moments shared
Hot passion, innocence snared


Unfathomable - the act, the pretense
The sham longing displayed
When from the beginning
It was only a shoddy game essayed


Letters torn, blocked on FB
Abuses hurled, dirty mud-slinging
Haunting, consuming rage
A crippling feeling
Leaving one from all corners frayed


Friends we were - inseparable, wild, free
And could have till the end been
If only you had not
Taken the chance
To toy with my fragile being and heart !
